/Jan Gliński and Adam Skotarczak - Dérive Studio
To celebrate 100 years since Poland re-entered the world stage in 1918 and took part in the 1925 Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, the Visteria Foundation, led by Katarzyna Jordan, created a stunning showcase of Polish craft and design at Milan Design Week.
Curated by Federica Sala and supported by key Polish institutions, with a unique exhibition design by Zuza Paradowska, the show explores how Polish aesthetics have evolved- from brutalism and folk to modern collectible design- across materials like wood, steel, ceramics, glass, and textiles.

FOLDING SCREENS | ZAKOPANE
2025
Zakopane, Poland
Jan Gliński x Splot Kilim
concept - Aleksandra Senderska Zając
Designed for a contemporary residence in Zakopane, this modular screen is a sophisticated dialogue between Polish heritage and industrial innovation. The piece features a hand-woven “Świeczka” kilim- based on an original design by Zofia Stryjeńska- integrated into a lightweight steel framework. Utilising Jan Gliński’s AXI3© modular system, the structure is both expandable and adaptable, allowing the traditional, double-sided textile to function as a versatile architectural element. Produced in collaboration with the brand Splot, the project seamlessly blends the warmth of traditional craftsmanship with a sharp, modern sensibility.
